During my spare time I joined a webinar through design centre based on design collaborations and the curated space. Hosting the webinar was Hatta Byng, editor of House & Garden, who spoke to Ann Grafton, MD and creative director of GP & J Baker and interior designer Suzy Hoodless that came together to explore the remarkable alchemy that collaborations can generate. Suzy had worked with Ann on a scheme designed for a show room space in Chelsea Harbour, they explained the process that they went through to find and source the correct fabrics as well as the design decisions made. The reasoning behind the colour scheme and the process of printing and dying the velvet that was used to surround the walls of the scheme.

As well as this design Suzy went on to discuss schemes that she had done that collaborated with other designers, again talking about the process behind the design decisions and how she felt about the projects.

I am coming towards the end of my degree and have been thinking a lot about the job that I want when I graduate. I have always loved the styling of interiors and through my degree have expressed this. This webinar gave me an incite to the type of work that I want to do and gave me an idea of the process that designers use in order to get the end result. Overall, I found this webinar very inspiring and it has given me a better understanding of this side of the interior design industry.
